"We don't see things as they are. We see them as we are." - Anais Nin
...more like tidbits for thought. This is just brilliantly done. Well-threaded use of words in these circumstances.
oh my gosh, such powerful images and feelings in so few words...
you say so much with just a few verses. BEAUTIFUL.that would be me "a hungry heart"and the last image, so tender :)
This took the longest time to show up on my bloglines...welcome back....
Lovely contrast between the two verses.Welcome back!:-)
Cecilia- thank you and thanks also for stopping by. I hope you visit again. :)feminine expressions- life is wrapped in lil things. aint it so?Lorena- i knew you could relate to it! :) thanks!Joel- thank you and i hope you are doing good. :).:A:. - that is the thing with contrast, who can say which is better and somtimes the contrast itself is the 'thing'. its nice to be welcomed back. :)
Is this a little box of arranged letters that maybe hints at where you've been? Wistful and lovely.Welcome back!
sad and soulful, don't stave your heart.. :-P
Very nice. I've been trying to write more poetry lately. J and I had a "date" and wrote silly poetry together the other night. It was fun.Keep it up!
Welcome Back :-)
finnegan- i had been away catching up with freinds, coffee, conversation, ciggarettes...that kind of stuff...good stuff! :) ...thank you!!! :)Missy- just like a rainy day :)Bethin Portland- thanks and thanks for stopping by, do come again! Geetanjali- is the sweetheart in the picture you? if yes, then you just stole my heart away! :)
Nice and haiku-like, I especially like the first stanza. A driving rain does somehow make you feel metaphorically "hungry," even though I can't say how logically!
hungry heart and tear drop; very beautiful!good to see you back alive again!
Hiya, hopped over here from Venus' blog, you seem to have a wonderful way with words. But I have this mindblock against poems and haikus, they never reach me :) Read some of your non-poem/haiku posts. Neat.
Lovely! Hungry for more :-)LuvArundhati
