petite words

-How many kisses will it take from me, here to you, there? I asked him as I lay in white embroidered muslin watching his bare feet keeping time on the wooden tiles. He cocked his head slightly and smiled. – Why do u want to waste your kisses covering the distance? Why indeed? -Maybe because I want to tempt you and then perhaps, the distance once covered with kisses, might seem at least, sweeter. The petite ivory flowers on the muslin moved between my fingers.

Hmmmmm.... Gotta admit tho, distance is a relationship killer! But no doubts, this is where true love comes into play... If u really love someone, a million miles can look like a few feet away :)))) Its all how we understand each other!
"How many kisses will it take from me, here to you, there" -> which means, the more the distance, more the kisses :) So for a change, the farther the loved one is, the better :)))

...and kisses that cover the distance make the distance so much shorter...

Erotica as a form of literature doesn't get much respect, but this surely raises the bar!

The image of kisses as the petals of flowers connecting the distance, connecting the soft touch of two pairs of lips, or one lip and one hand, etc. The imagery is perfect.

Lovely post Gulnaz. You evoke a rich imagery.

But there is magic sometimes even without white flowers and muslin, magic that is in everyday existence. What say you?

i really admire you for being a good composer and writer.......

I don't know, this is indeed lovely and sensual, but it struck me as sad -- I thnk Pallavi caught the same backspin that I did -- a sense that the distance is really increasing and the kisses may never get there.

So I'll be so bold as to say that I think love is for you. Even if it's not showing up with a flourish at the front door just now.
