on a random note

allow me to charm you.
let these words warn you.
a changeling, a dangerous creature.
keep me at a distance and you are forever mine.
will keep you dangling on a string.
carrying your bobbing heart
on a red string.

on somedays i like myself and on somedays i don't. there are days when things begin to make sense and then as suddenly the thread is lost and i am left grappling with the fast unfolding yarn, slipping out of my hands. I want to read words warm like claret on a winter afternoon. There is somewhere I have got to be, there is someone else i forgot to be. Sunshine on water a thousand stars dance. warm skin blushes to warmer hues of desire. a yearning a longing; dont want to be buried under ashes of unrealised desires.

SIGH Sunshine on my back and the sound of tickling stream while I watch the pine trees sway and fill the air with their perfume... SIGH

love your blog,.. i truly believe there is no room in life for regrets,..follow your heart, and you should never be burried under ashes of unrealised desires

Are you talking about your dog ???

deewani said...

I agree.. follow your heart and if it gets broken it will just make you stronger next time. Nothing in life is perfect, if it was it would be boring!

Very nice use of images in the second portion to convey emotions.

Once again, a beautiful post.

I've been trying to email you to send the poetry interview, but keep getting a notification of failure. Is something wrong with your email address?

Deewani- nah perfect is not boring, sometimes. ;)

.:A:. - u really think so? Thanks! ;)

Patry- its wonderful to be told so by someone whose writing you admire yourself. :) thanks and hey have sent you an email...have no idea why your mails were not getting thru.

Lovely, Gulnaz.

Unrealised desires ? Well honey, if you know your desire, then you can act on it and realise it.
But I suspect it's the other way - you have unfulfilled desires, but don't yet realize what those desires are ... I know just what you mean, an dI'm afraid I haven't figured it out either ! :)

I just been catching up, don't be anyone else, I would never be able to find your blog. Seriously, liking our selves is something we all struggle with at times so being some one else wouldn't help, learn to have realistic expectations of your own human condition, you are a wonderful talented person what could be better than that?

Keep me at a distance and you are forver mine - and y don't I like that idea !

There is somewhere I have got to be, there is someone else i forgot to be -- the March Hare and truly me :)

You are right! Some days even I like myself and some days I dont. By the way, Gulnaaz, ever thought of publishing a book?

charming girl,
I'm afraid you've intrigued me, and your warning came too late. I unravel at your sensual words.

small squirrel said...

oh yes, I have been here, recognized bits of myself in every weaving, unfolding, unraveling yarn... such beautiful words you have patched together gulnaz...

I hope enough of your desires are realized to make you blissfully happy, and enough go unrealized to keep you motivated.

People are flawed, that is the simple truth. If one feels they have reached a significant level of self-awareness and have not discovered a healthy element of self-hate then one is still living in denial. We are also constantly changing, this can give us hope. Bottom line: we are ok right up to the time we begin to hurt one another. Then again, we need a certain element of danger to keep us stimulatated; boredom is a killing jar. You are a dangerous lady and we love you!

i'll drink to that gulnaz !!!*cheers* :)

Have realised one thing, your posts, which bring out your feelings, depend a lot on imagery and visual thinking. Its very obvious. Nice, keep it going. Some people dream in Multicolor, and looks like you are one among them...
When the reader's mind paints a picture of what u have written, thats a sign of having gotten your point thru, in the best possible way!

gulnaz said...

.:A:. - thanks...your appreciation means a lot to me.

johnny boy- i think everybody dreams in multicolor. :) it is really nice of you to take the time to leave behind such an encouraing comment, thanks! :)

Rhymes which echo here-truths and near-truths.

And moments when your words, ascending, dance like sunshine on water.
