sullied waters ...for now

sunshine has been not been washed lately ; oh these muddied, sullied days!
this endless road lined with dark heavy clouds; oh let the waters wash us clean! neptune and venus will play out their madness. in our garden, untended, uncared for, wild and overgrown, we will sit under a knotted gnarled tree; as our heart will beat to the clamor of our love. desire and pride will wash their clammy hands with tears

a search of a lifetime, the scents of springtimes and god alone knows if patience is a freshly painted door with daisies smiling guard. if i make it to the door of patience, there would be a thousand kisses and each kiss will beget another. bliss is a drunken soul and truth is its mead. the shroud of deception will be shorn to shreds and the veiled one will sing to me songs that led us there. his face i will wash with neptune's kisses as the sun will dazzle in the skies.

PS.

I am unable to post a comment on Devika's blog so have taken the liberty to post it here.
I hope you don't mind.

Doesn't it make you sick to the back teeth to hear those with wealth, discussing the possibility of waging war, or rather witnessing wars fought over water.
This is madness.
Water is a god given right and should not be fought over.
We humans need to plan more than we do for our collective future. If water is going to be scarce let's do something about it that will last for generations to come.

I totally agree with your last paragraph.

Gulnaz, with your permission :)

CJ, thanks for reading :)

Yes, 3/4 of the planet is water...and yet, not a drop to drink is a reality, even today in many parts of India....Gulnaz too is crying of sullied waters :)

I have been involved in some of these water resources projects and think, its all possible...But as you say, unless its collective, co-ordinated, lasting solutions....seems afar!

We have witnessed nasty wars for oil (in whatever pretext)....Hope we don't have to fight for water,

devika

devika... i live in vasant kunj in new delhi... know first hand water issues... it breaks my heart to see our govt not using enough sustainable technologies.... people waste water.... govts think gods will bless us each year and... packaged drinking water is big biz now.

I understand Gulnaz...i come from the state, where fresh groundwater is the most common source of drinking water, except in a few cities....and here it was hard gettimg used to the chlorinated hard water!

Govt for the first time is responding (rather made to respond) to a Supreme Court order..thats what my article was about :)

Very emotional. And I must admit: I didn't see the real water-aspect after the first reading (but I do now having noticed the comments).

Best wishes
