Kites !!! Oh that brings me fond childhood memories! I used to hate it when my kite used to get cut or gets stuck in the tree or electric wires. FYI now is teh kite season - but too bad today's kids dont have the passion anymore to fly kites.

ohhh it's almost free!
may the wind carry the kite someplace new and exotic.

Jaxe- thanks j...you took a long time showing up...hope you have been fine. :)

Lynn- thanks....just couldnt decide the answer, so left it open.

Casablanca- wonder why? still, thanks for dropping by and commenting, i hope you will visit again. :)

bablu- if you enjoy something dont let time stop you, why not go and send out a kite high up in the sky...send out a brightly coloured one.

Brood Mode- am not sure of the answer at all, is that (the end) good or bad?

Heretic- but then the soul never dies....thanks for leaving that behind and for a heretic those are some pretty spiritual lines. :)

sensiblystoned- thanks, unintentional...:)

Stella- yaaay!!! :)

Tough call. Depends on the situation. Right now, my answer is happy ending:)

Neither. It's just what is. (My inner Buddhist talking.)

Too beautiful to leave dangling. I'd provide first aid and get it back on the wing.

Watch it soar again. Magnificently graceful, kites. Very happy ending.

A really clever piece

I choose a happy ending--for you, Gulnaz, and for me, too.

There is a certain tension jumping from view to view when you look into a fractured mirror! Loved this and Beauty and the Beast was fantastic!

as usual can't help smiling at finn's over-the-top imagination! but coming to your lovely poem I'd say arrested flight is the answer...a kite is meant to fly and not stay constant...sky is its mother and its brother is the wind...let it stay
with family!

Always more than one way of looking at things ... :-)

you can never assume why kite is here by just looking at it. probably that's the message it gives.

Anne- thanks....i loved your blog too, i hope you will enjoy your stay here. :)

mermaid- its better to be optimistic, eh. :)

Paul- we are what we are. :)

timeintotime- awww, that is so sweet, you must be natures special people called nurturers. :)

Sue- gee thanks...was spontaneous actually. :)

Patry- okie, i wish it too....now the wishes are twice as strong! good!

Russell- thank you! am glad you liked them so! :)

Finn- thanks...you are generous with your appreciation and i loved the food pyramid, we all are food for the ants at the end of the day, but the kite would do well to be part of a nest, that would be nice too.

Anil- finn sure makes us all smile and isnt it ironic after that dream of his about the scary clown....i like the idea of kite's family. :)

.:A:. - ....always! :)

Geebaby- me too. :)

Venus- that's a good point. :)

this is gripping. i love it!!
i like how you highlighted "torn -by the- flight" very creative.

good question. hmmm.

I think I will go with arrested flight.

I have always been slightly disturbed looking at torn kites...dangling on trees or electric lines. It reminds me of loneliness. Somehow..

This made me laugh out loud. I don't know why. It's just clever. I like that each line is attached to a string of some kind and the highlighted phrase: "torn by the flight." I'd say that kite lived well to hang on even though it got torn.

awesome use of BOLD. You are so creative with the language!

I rencently said to Transience, "sometimes less is more, and in this case its perfect."

I hope you are well and not affected by the earthquakes.

Very beautifully captured! Vivid image before my eyes.

happy ending? did the flyer attempt to crash the kite? Is this the way the beloved kite should be left after years of loyal service?

definitely arrested flight. once torn, perhaps difficult to mend, the kite will no longer fly. question is, did this occur after much use, or by a virgin flyer who did not know any better?

Lorena- thanks, glad you liked it! :)

Manjusha- yeah smacks of lonliness, of feeling left behind.

sirbarrett- good point! :)

stan laurel- thank you so much!! :)

Neel- thanks! :) how haveu been, havent seen you around lately...i wasnt affected by the earthquake but it was an awful tragedy, everything lost in seconds! god!!!

anumita- thanks girl! :)

dominick- that is good making the question larger. :)
thanks for stopping by, i hope you visit again. :)
