Kites !!! Oh that brings me fond childhood memories! I used to hate it when my kite used to get cut or gets stuck in the tree or electric wires. FYI now is teh kite season - but too bad today's kids dont have the passion anymore to fly kites.
as usual can't help smiling at finn's over-the-top imagination! but coming to your lovely poem I'd say arrested flight is the answer...a kite is meant to fly and not stay constant...sky is its mother and its brother is the wind...let it stay with family!

This made me laugh out loud. I don't know why. It's just clever. I like that each line is attached to a string of some kind and the highlighted phrase: "torn by the flight." I'd say that kite lived well to hang on even though it got torn.
happy ending? did the flyer attempt to crash the kite? Is this the way the beloved kite should be left after years of loyal service?
definitely arrested flight. once torn, perhaps difficult to mend, the kite will no longer fly. question is, did this occur after much use, or by a virgin flyer who did not know any better?
