I have felt crappy the entire day today. Of all the things I could have done today, I have done none. My mind just did not say 'good morning' today, perhaps because it slept, somewhere in the early hours of morning only to wake up at noon. It was that rare deep sleep. When I woke up, I had to mouth a plea for tea from someone; even my vocal cords did not get up. Is it some new disease, where my entire being has gone to sleep? Well I had been having some trouble with sleeping lately but this is too much of a good thing.
The day is over now; has ended, is history is no more and I am so glad. I don’t like myself when I feel like this. I am off to make myself another cup of tea…then try to go for a walk…hey k saved me that trip to the kitchen, she got me the tea…god bless her.
...my heart too has gone of too sleep. Perhaps I'll catch a late-night movie on TV tonight. I saw 'The Others' day before yesterday, it was a spooky movie with Nicole Kidman in it...very nice, spooked me out a little, in a nice way.
There is something I want, there is something I need and its the same song every day and I’ll be damned if I go to seed. hahaha...you can see the frame of mind I’m in.
PS: I made pancakes a little while ago and my mother has been trying her hand at making Jalebis, a terribly calorie-laden Indian sweetmeat to which my youngest bro, who should be in the movies, says that all the wimmin of this house should make a video "Who's Fat!' and sing it to the tune of Who's bad by Michael Jackson. Hehe...
How come I did not inherit the its-fun-to-do-difficult-things gene from mummy?

that's some crappy day huh.
and you made pancakes? wooo... I've heard of jalebis.. seen them.. but never tasted. They don't really look nice.. but i think they're very sweet right.

jalebis not my fav....can u make gulab jamun?! :)
Without the bad days you can never appreciate the glorious ones, and many glorious days await you. I know what jelebis's are but never eat the stuff, far too sweet... as for making them well that must be a feat, one I know nothing abt and not keen to learn either. Selfish me,I only learn how to make stuff I enjoy;)
some one here has not hat jalebis!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ha,the day is over so let the thought of it be over:) have a great time with pancakes and jalebis:)
woman, hehehe...if you don't like jalebis, how come you are calling me one...do i seem as twisted as 'em. :)
la devil, thanks for the visit. :) i slept on the couch, so there was only one side to get off from hehe...i make only easy-peasy desserts, its my mum's hobby to cook fancy (read=tricky) stuff. :) and yeah, watch the others...am tempted to tell the story, it was on hbo.
come again...i like your anime.
M, :) yeah i was glad it finally ended. when i as a teenager, i use to envy my mum for she looks like an angel and has a temper of one too...and i was a dump...hv got bettter over the time.
Misreflection, thanks missy!!, jalebis arent that difficult, sort of tricky and baby india is the land of sweety-sweet-sweets...so come prepared. :) makes more sense to make stuff you enjoy...everyone is a food critic in my family (thats my parents and my 3bro's)so i'm the one who'll eat anything as long as its not 2 bad. :)
A.D.Singh, singh veerji, it seems you are very fond of jalebis, have em with malai, they taste even better or with curd. :) hey thanks for dropping by, come again.
Neelima, i'm the sort who binges and then cringes in regret...so the thougt of ingesting so many calories is only making me go uuurgh!! :)
Yummmm thoughts of Jalebis at this hour!
Sweet and twisted things, them. Like life itself?
Prat...you got it prat :)
Strange day indeed. My mom like your Mom too. She and my sisters get a recipe and then they try it all on us(esp. Sundays). Too bad Im missing them now.
Jelabis! .... Hmmmmmmmm!
Sometimes, some days are just not meant to be ... I guess this was one of those?
Hi!
I was just searching the net and came across your blog. I am writing from Canada. My mother in law is visiting India so I am trying to make jalebis like she usually does for Diwali every year. Does your mom have any tips for a first time jalebi maker?
Minakshi :)
